『演劇クエスト』は、《冒険の書》に記された選択肢を手がかりに、参加者が自由に町を遊歩するプロジェクトです。といっても、柱の陰から誰かが現れて何かのパフォーマンスをするとかは（たぶん）ないし、大人数でゾロゾロと名所旧跡を訪ねることもない。ましてやただの散歩ではない。あなたはストレンジャーとして放り出され、「観客／俳優」となって、フィールドに流れる時間をドラマティックに体験していく。
仮に横浜をよく知っていたとしても（生まれ育った土地ならなおさら）、あらためて「未知の異郷」としてさまよってほしい。人種も階層も慣習も異なる人間たちが、肩寄せ合って生きているこの都市に、あなたは何を見い出すのだろう？
寄り道は積極的に。気になる扉があれば開けてみること。もちろんそれは勇気の要ることだし、不安にもなるだろう。特に海の向こうからやってきたあなたは、日本語というマイナー言語の中ではさらに不安にさらされやすい。だがやってみよう……迷子になったら上出来だ！ そうした寄る辺ない状態になって初めて立ち現れてくる「不可視の水脈」こそ、『演劇クエスト』とその参加者たちが探しているものなのだ。
『演劇クエスト・横浜トワイライト編』は4つの短編を含んでいる。柴幸男が「港のファンタジー編」を、西尾佳織が「コトブキ町滞在日記」を提供してくれた。この2人の劇作家のテクストには不在の誰かの気配がどことなく漂っている。触発されるようにして、わたしも「清水ヶ丘クロニクル」を書いた。さらに、急な坂スタジオではホットワインで身体を温めながら落雅季子の「恋愛問題集」を遊べるようになっている。
あなたはいつでもこの冒険を中断し、好きな時間と場所からコンティニューできる。できれば「今日の一枚」や「冒険の記録」を後でメールしてくれたらたいへん嬉しい。詳しくは《冒険の書》に書いてあります。
ちなみに今回は、おそらく最初で最後の無料公演。ただほどこわいものはない。あなたはお金を払っていないのだから、もはや「消費者」ではない。あてもなく都市を（そしてこの混沌とした世界を）漂い、みずからの目で見て、感じて、考える、そして異質な他者との対話を試みる、ひとりの人間なのだ。

ENGEKI QUEST – Yokohama Twilight Ver. by BricolaQ
“ENGEKI QUEST” is a project where the participants can freely walk around the city with the cues written on “the Adventure Book”. Nonetheless, there will (probably) be no performances by someone who comes out from the behind, nor you would visit historical sites with a group of people. But of course, it’s not just a promenade. You will be thrown out to the field as a stranger and experience the time that flows there, as an “audience/actor”.
Even if you knew Yokohama well (especially if that was where you were born and grew), I want you to wander around in this “unknown strange land” once again. What would you find in this city where people of different races, statuses and customs are living together?
Try to go off-road when you can. If you get attracted by some door, open it. It will cost you some courage, and you might also feel scared. Especially like you, from overseas, you might feel uneasier surrounded by a minor language like Japanese. But try… If you get lost, that’s perfect! “Engeki Quest” and its participants are searching for the “invisible water vein”, which looms out when one is being left alone in such a vulnerable situation.
“Engeki Quest – Yokohama Twighlight Ver.” includes 4 short stories. Yukio Shiba has contributed with “Port Fantasy”, and Kaori Nishio has contributed with “Kotobuki Residence Diary”. In these texts of the two playwrights, I have found a sign of someone in absence. Inspired by them, I wrote “Shimizu-ga-oka Chronicle”. And at Steep Slope Studio, you can warm yourself with mulled wine, playing with the “Workbook on Love” by Makiko Ochi.
You may stop this quest whenever you want, and you can restart and continue whenever and wherever you want. If you could send us an email with your “Photo of the Day” or “Adventure Report”, we will be very happy. For details, please read “the Adventure Book.”
Just so you know, for the first and last time, you can enjoy this for free. Nothing can be more scary than something at no cost. You are not paying, so you are not a “consumer” any more. You will wander around this city ― and this chaotic world ― without any clear reasons or motivations. You will see, feel, think and try to communicate with strange others. You are one being.
